Inherited generosity: Why Mark is leaving a gift in his Will

Two men engaged in conversation at Wesley Mission’s David Morgan Centre

For more than 20 years, Mark has supported Wesley Mission, thanks to his mother’s legacy.

For many years, his mother financially supported Wesley Mission while playing a significant role in pioneering our advocacy work back when Rev Alan Walker was Superintendent of Wesley Mission.

“In that time, I have come to understand more about the diversity and range of their services and the vital impact they have had in helping, improving and even saving people’s lives,” Mark says.

Over the years Mark has developed a passion to support Wesley Mission’s David Morgan Centre, a supported employment facility that opened in 1973 to provide job opportunities for those living with disability. It was during Mark’s visit to David Morgan Centre, which sparked his decision to leave a gift in his Will to Wesley Mission.

“I was privileged to personally visit the David Morgan Centre and see first-hand the loving, caring environment in which they provide work for people with [disability],” Mark says.

Mark believes leaving a gift to Wesley Mission in his Will will have a lasting and worthwhile legacy, just like his mother’s.

“I have seen and experienced the care and dedication of the Wesley Mission staff and I am certain that leaving a gift in my Will to Wesley Mission is the right thing to do.”
