Wesley Dalmar Out of Home Care – Gosford

Wesley Mission has a long and proud history as a premier Out-of-Home Care provider in NSW. We have a number of exciting opportunities for energetic and passionate professionals across the Central Coast and Hunter area.
We are currently seeking an individual who has a passion for community services and improving lives of children. You will be responsible for provide casework support to children, young people and their families, you must have the ability to show empathy and maintain confidentiality along with contributing to a positive culture of learning and growth in a challenging environment.
Essential Criteria:
- Degree in Social Work / Psychology or related discipline
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain functional and supportive relationships with children and young people and their families in order to reach positive outcomes
- Coach, mentor and provide guidance to parents/carers in the provision of care to children
- High level interpersonal skills; including the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders; and contribute effectively autonomously and within a team environment
- Current unrestricted driver’s licence
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience in working within the OOHC industry
Remuneration
The agency provides regular supervision and support for all staff and opportunities for professional development. Salary and conditions of employment are based on the Social Community Home care And Disability Award (Level 5 / Pay Point 1).
As a child safe organisation the suitable applicant will be subject to the relevant pre-employment checks including provision of a valid Working with Children Check clearance number and a criminal history check.
