Salary SCHADS Level 5 ($97,380.40 to $101,790.00) + Super + Salary Packaging + Allocated motor vehicle

The Family Preservation WSNBM program provides targeted support to vulnerable families to prevent children and young people (0 to 17 years old) from escalating into the child-protection or Out of Home Care system.

What you'll do

• We are looking for outstanding caseworkers who are conscientious, reliable and motivated about making a difference. As a caseworker you will be working with a team of exceptional professionals who practise within an evidenced based framework. We are seeking staff who wish to apply their skills in the complex child protection area. Although this will be your focus, you will have to work with all members of the family unit.

• Work within the service provision guidelines and Wesley Family Preservation’s framework by maintaining a focus on child wellbeing outcomes, which are managed through mandatory reporter guidelines and effective safety planning with the family.

1. Powerful child participation: Demonstrated commitment to child focused practice, that involves the identification and analysis of safety and wellbeing concerns for children
2. Culture is identity and connection: Culturally competent with experience working alongside CALD and Aboriginal families
3. Empowerment, voice and choice: Supportive, tactful and empathetic nature with the ability to make clear judgements that promotes the rights, interests and wellbeing of children
4. Responsive and healing: Commitment to work in a collaborative and empathetic manner to build positive relationships
5. Strength from families and community: Experience of working within a community services and / or child and family social work environment
6. Growth through evidence, outcomes and reflection: University qualifications in social work or related fields with a commitment to continued training and learning opportunities to improve your practice

• You will have:
  • NSW Drivers Licence and willingness to travel across the Western Sydney, Nepean and Blue Mountains region
  • A current Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
