About the role

Wesley Mission has a long-established history in providing Out of Home Care across NSW. This position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work with Children and Young people in our Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Out of Home Care programs. This position is responsible for leading a team of Case managers and future development of the programs in the area.

 

Essential criteria

  • degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Psychology or related discipline
  • flexible working hours including some evenings and weekends
  • current unrestricted driver’s licence
  • Experience in leading teams
  • demonstrated ability to write reports to a professional standard with excellent verbal and written skills
  • experience working with children and families and/or in the OOHC field
  • previous experience in Staff supervision
  • ability to work as a part of a team and independently
  • demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • demonstrated conflict resolution skills and experience managing difficult behaviours
  • Knowledge of NSW Out-of-Home Care Standards and a commitment to maintaining accreditation

 

Desirable criteria

  • knowledge of therapeutic care frameworks

 

Remuneration

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010. The agency provides regular supervision and support for all staff and opportunities for professional development.
