FAQs

What kind of volunteering roles are available at Wesley Mission?
We have a wide variety of roles available, from phone crisis support to youth mentoring, aged care visitors and more. Learn more about our open opportunities here.
Who can volunteer?

Our volunteers are incredibly diverse. Whatever your background, skills and time commitment, everyone deserves an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to their community.
Volunteering with Wesley Mission involves supporting those in need in our community. To ensure we match the right people to the right roles, we follow a thorough recruitment process.

Given the nature of our work, most volunteer positions require a satisfactory National Criminal History Check. If you’ll be working directly with children or accessing their personal information, you’ll also need a Working with Children Check. We take care of costs for all the necessary checks.

Do I need previous experience?
No experience is needed to volunteer with us. You’ll be given full training and the support you need to thrive in your role.
How much time do I need to commit?
It’s up to you. Whether you can spare one hour a fortnight or more, you can make a difference. Our opportunities are flexible and designed to fit into your life.
