We need your support
We’re committed to doing all the good we can but we can’t do it without your support.
If you’re feeling isolated or lonely and are looking for social connection, find a new companion through Wesley Aged Care Volunteer Visitors!
Wesley Aged Care Volunteer Visitors is a free service that connects volunteers with older people.
You’ll be matched with someone who shares common interests and will visit you on a weekly or fortnightly basis. You’ll both benefit from strengthened wellbeing through quality, flexible and dynamic companionship that:
Currently, Wesley Aged Care Volunteer Visitors operates across the northern, inner west, south west and western regions of Sydney, as well as the Central Coast, the Hunter, Lake Macquarie and Taree.
“When Liesl comes into my home, I don’t think of her as a volunteer. She’s a great friend who’s brought so much happiness to me.”

Funded by the Australian Government.
This service is free of charge to people who receive government-subsidised residential aged care or a Home Care Package (including older people who are approved and on a waiting list).
Currently, we offer it to those living across the northern, inner west, south west and western regions of Sydney, as well as the Central Coast, the Hunter, Lake Macquarie and Taree. (If you live outside these regions, visit the Australian Government’s Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACVVS) website by clicking here.)
Your safety is our priority. A full national police check and personal reference checks are undertaken on every volunteer visitor before they’re matched with an older person.
If you feel your aged care volunteer visitor or the service isn’t right for you, please contact your Wesley Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Coordinator.
No, your aged care volunteer visitor is there to provide companionship and social support. If you require assistance with housework or attending appointments, please speak with your care provider.
You can communicate your needs directly with your aged care volunteer visitor. Alternatively, you can contact your Wesley Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Coordinator or care provider.
We value your feedback. If you have comments or complaints about your volunteer visitor or the service, please contact your Wesley Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Coordinator.
