In the latest episode of Wesley Impact with Stu Cameron, Wesley Mission CEO and Superintendent Rev Stu Cameron, continues his journey to meet with Wesley Mission staff across New South Wales. At these workshops, Stu leads discussions on how to better collaborate across community services, so we can continue to meet all people’s needs.
In the second part of a three-part series, Leila and Danny Abdallah share with Stu how they forgave the driver who was responsible for killing three of their children and niece in a car crash, and how they choose to pray for the driver and his family.
“We forgave him because it is part of our identity and who we are. And as Christian[s], forgiveness is the core of our faith,” Leila says. “And when I got on the scene (car crash site) and I saw how hard it was, my natural reaction was to forgive.”
Stu closes this episode by continuing to share how to live out Wesley Mission’s Word and deed mission by becoming ‘Guerrilla Grafters’.
“This is the work we are called to continue – to graft the life of God into the forgotten and forsaken places, to see green shoots of justice, mercy and grace sprout forth,” he says.
